Nasims Portal Closure And Batch C Verification Update

In today's latest Npower news - After good 11 months of Npower batch C Application and aptitude test Process, the management has notified N-Power applicants of the NASIMS portal Closure date slated for 11th of May, 2021 by 12 midnight.

Though the portal is still accessible at this time, Applicants are advised to please make sure their records are fully updated on the portal.

As stated on the Applicants dashboard, the management is currently screening applicants. They are looking through the list of applicants and it might take a while. If you qualify to move to the next stage which is physical verification, they will reach out to you.

HOUSE OF REPS RECEIVES PROPOSAL TO CHANGE NIGERIA’S NAME TO UAR A proposal to change Nigeria’s name to United African Republic has been received by the House of Representatives Special Committee on Constitution Review. The proposal was submitted by Adeleye Jokotoye, a tax consultant to the committee at the South West zonal public hearing in Lagos. According to Jokotoye, the name ‘Nigeria’ was imposed on the country in the colonial era, hence it should be changed. Jokotoye also explained that he chose ‘United Africa Republic’ because the country is made up of hundreds of ethnic groups that need to be United. He also suggested as an alternative, ‘United Alkebulan Republic’ (Alkebulan means ‘mother of mankind’).

COAS FLAGS OFF WELFARE FLIGHT FOR TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS)  Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, in his efforts to cater for the welfare of troops and boost their morale, has flagged off welfare flight for troops of Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) who are proceeding on pass to and fro the theatre of operations to other parts of the country.  The COAS performed the symbolic ceremony on Monday, 9 August, 2021 at the Nigerian Air Force Base Maiduguri, Borno State. Lieutenant General Yahaya in his remarks said welfare of troops is one of his cardinal focus for the Nigerian Army and it is in this regard that the initiative was birthed in order to ease the movement of personnel of OPHK by addressing problems such as distance and other associated challenges, while proceeding on pass to see their families and loved ones.
